A small string ensemble and many different languages. Discover them together with the four members of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, who make up the Munich Philharmonic String Quartet.
The starting point is Mozart's Serenade KV 648: a musical home for many, a classical, familiar historical point of reference. From there it goes into the present: Alyamani'sOmarcontrasts the serenade with a work with influences from the Middle East: tonal systems and ornaments that not only sound different, but also reveal a different view of the world. Peña CamposCamino por vereda and theVariations on "Nanga ti feo" combine Latin American and Afro-Caribbean elements to create new idioms. The program concludes with an exciting return to the familiar Mozart. For now you will hear the String Quartet K. 590 - but perhaps with different ears.
