Cultural tourism
On February 1, 2025, an exciting cross-regional cultural tourism project - initiated and submitted as lead partner by Tiroler Festspiele Erl - was launched: entitled "Cross-border tourism: culture as a driving force", it provides a significant impetus for sustainable cooperation between cultural event organizers and tourism professionals in the Kufsteinerland - Inntal - Chiemsee - Kaisergebirge - Mangfalltal region. The initiative promotes long-term cooperation between cultural organizers and tourism associations from Austria and Germany and creates a solid basis for continuous joint activities and projects.
Project partners are the Tiroler Festspiele Erl (lead partner), the Festival Festivo, the Kufsteinerland tourism association, the Immling Festival, the Amerang Castle Concerts and Chiemsee-Alpenland Tourismus. The Kufstein Musical Summer and the Maxlrain Opera were added as further partners during the course of the project.
The project was completed on April 30, 2026.

Project City Girl
The two cultural event organizers intend to join forces for the first time in summer 2025. To this end, the Festspielhaus Erl will be transformed into a cinema hall, with the marketing and realization of this performance being carried out jointly by the project partners. The two organizers intend to bring together a completely new audience from the Bavarian region and the Inn Valley in the course of a screening of the silent film classic "City Girl" from 1930 with musical accompaniment by a band in Erl.
