Antonín Dvořák's music leads us to a pond in the middle of the forest. There the musicians and the young audience meet the water nymph Rusalka. Our shared musical discovery tour around the pond can begin!
The story of the opera 'Rusalka' is already known to many people as the fairy tale 'The Little Mermaid'. Karin Meissl - percussionist and drummer at the Graz Opera and freelance music educator - moderates this concert and is accompanied by a string quartet, a pianist and a soprano.
Sitting on cushions and in close proximity to the stage action, the young audience follows this special concert experience. Together we dive into magical sound worlds and picturesque music stories. The cushion concert is suitable for children aged 3 to 6 and their adult accompanying persons. Chairs are available for adults in the back part of the room.
