General Assembly Decides to Establish a Supervisory Board
In the meeting of the foundation board of Tiroler Festspiele Erl on January 2, 2020, the renewed establishment of a supervisory board was decided. In addition to board member Hans Peter Haselsteiner, former Federal Minister Maria Fekter, Head of Music Department BKA Brigitte Winkler-Komar, from the legal department of the State of Tyrol Ms. Barbara Rizzoli-Ellenhuber and the cultural worker Waltraud Orthner are sent to the supervisory board of Tiroler Festspiele Erl.

State Councilor for Culture Beate Palfrader is pleased that the recommendation of the State Audit Office could be followed in good agreement with the board. "With the supervisory board, we have established a further control mechanism that is essential for a transparent and long-term continued existence of the Erl Festival."

The State Audit Office had audited Tiroler Festspiele Erl from October 2018 until spring 2019. Among other things, it was recommended to re-establish the supervisory board that was dissolved during the foundation establishment in 2017. A large part of the further improvement suggestions was already implemented during the audit. The installation of a supervisory board is now a final point in the implementation of the State Audit Office recommendations.

The constitutive meeting of the supervisory board is planned for early April 2020, as part of the Piano Days of the Erl Festival.
