Cancellation of the Summer Festival 2020

The Corona crisis is now affecting all areas of life and presents people and companies, including cultural institutions, with major challenges. Due to the necessary official requirements to contain the pandemic, we have already cancelled the "Piano Days" from April 2-5, 2020. The weeks that followed were marked by coordination with numerous authorities at the state and federal level, with funding bodies, political representatives and of course also our staff, artists and participants in all areas, to obtain clarity about possible consequences for the festival and the planned programs.

Unfortunately, we come to the decision that we must now also cancel the Summer Festival 2020 and all concerts planned up to that point. Even though we announce this decision with regret, we do find that it is appropriate and necessary. The health of our staff, participants and visitors as well as the protection of particularly vulnerable groups of people weighs more heavily than artistic and economic desires.

We would also like to inform you that already purchased tickets retain their validity for performances of your choice until summer 2021 inclusive. Our box office remains closed to visitors due to official requirements. However, our staff are gladly available to you by email at karten@tiroler-festspiele.at. Due to the restricted operation, we ask for your understanding that processing inquiries about already purchased tickets, new program items or possible alternative dates may take several days.
