Finally Wagner Again!
After a long, equally painful pause for performers and spectators, the TFE are clearing the stage for a festival summer with many musical highlights. Brigitte Fassbaender returns to Tyrol as a director and stages the new Ring of Erl.

"Das Rheingold" will be given as a prelude in 2021, "Die Walküre" in 2022, "Siegfried" and "Götterdämmerung" will follow in 2023. As a further Wagner opera, "Lohengrin" will be seen three times this summer. As a complement to the Wagner focus, the festival presents "Die Königskinder" by Engelbert Humperdinck, who as a former assistant of Richard Wagner composed this third opera of this year's festival summer under his musical influence. The Camerata Salzburg will perform all five piano concertos by Ludwig van Beethoven with pianist Paul Lewis. The opening and closing concerts of the festival are dedicated to Johannes Brahms, alongside Scriabin (opening) and Mahler (closing).
Franui must of course not be missing, there is jazz with Christian Muthspiel and the Orjazztra Vienna. Neil Shicoff and Edith Wiens present their elite master classes, the Amici Ensemble will be heard – supported with readings by Udo Wachtveitl. Further concerts are performed by the Klangforum Wien, Helmut Deutsch, the violist Mariko Hara-Haselsteiner as well as the Capella Minsk, the choir of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl. In addition, "Lohengrin, the Mysterious Swan Knight" is also a concert for the whole family on the program.

Artistic Director Bernd Loebe, the entire ensemble and all staff of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl look forward to this summer and will do everything offered and provided to enable you a safe visit and a resonating artistic enjoyment that will comfort you beyond the hardship suffered by many.
