Cast Changes
Cast changes due to illness in "La Bohème" and "I puritani" – two more shooting stars debut in Erl

The winter cold wave has not stopped at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl either: Due to indisposition, tenor Raúl Gutierrez had to withdraw from his participation as Rodolfo in the new production of "La Bohème". Marina Monzó, singer of Elvira in the concert performances of Bellini's "I puritani", also had to withdraw from the production due to indisposition before rehearsals began.

The Tiroler Festspiele Erl are very pleased that the Chinese shooting star Long Long will take over the role of Rodolfo in all performances of "La Bohème" (December 27, 2024, January 3 and 5, 2025). The tenor has already fully joined the rehearsal process and is very much looking forward to his Erl debut. Equally great is our joy that Zuzana Marková will sing the role of Elvira in both performances of "I puritani" on December 28, 2024 and January 4, 2025.

Long Long is one of the rising tenors of our time. He is the winner of the Neue Stimmen competition of the Bertelsmann Foundation and, among other things, a prize winner at the Francisco Viñas Singing Contest in Barcelona. Long was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera and was also part of the prestigious Young Singers Project of the Salzburg Festival. His recent engagements have taken him to the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Semperoper Dresden, the Hamburg State Opera, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Glyndebourne Festival and many other internationally renowned opera houses.

With Zuzana Márkova, another internationally celebrated soprano is coming to Erl. The winner of several singing competitions made her debut as Elvira at the Zurich Opera House. Recent engagements have taken her as Lucia di Lammermoor to the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and as Violetta ("La traviata") to the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. She also embodied this role at the Atlanta Opera and the Gran Teatro la Fenice. At the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, she sang the role of Norina ("Don Pasquale"), and in Rome she was heard as Gilda ("Rigoletto").
