with the beginning of advance sales, the focus turns to a season that once again positions the Tiroler Festspiele Erl as a place of the highest musical quality. At the center are bel canto classics like Lucia di Lammermoor or La sonnambula, Venables' freshly composed opera We Are The Lucky Ones, Wagner's Flying Dutchman or Puccini's rarely performed Suor Angelica – two works that formulate questions about transcendence and inner distress in very different ways.

Soloists like Jessica Pratt and Pretty Yende stand for consistently high musical standards, complemented by a series of carefully curated piano recitals.

With the Musicbanda Franui, the program also opens up towards musical border crossings – between folk music, classical music and art song, with that poetic independence that has distinguished the ensemble for years.
