We are counting the days until the end of the current lockdown and looking forward to the Winter Festival 2021/2022 with anticipation and optimism. For with the opening on December 26, two weeks of festival time begin, which are carried each year by the festive mood of the Advent season. Christmas Oratorio, great operas – and this year the bell-clear voices of the Tölzer Boys' Choir, which once again conjure up Christmas atmosphere for the whole family. Just a few weeks before the opening, the Tiroler Festspiele Erl and the Tölzer Boys' Choir are now delighted with an extraordinary surprise: The famous chamber singer Brigitte Fassbaender has spontaneously agreed to give the choral singing even more expression with appropriately selected texts. Which texts these will be in detail remains a surprise.
Brigitte Fassbaender is one of the most important artists of our time. Until 1994, the Berlin native pursued a sensational international career as a mezzo-soprano. Since then, Brigitte Fassbaender has devoted herself entirely to directing and has now brought over 80 productions to the stage at home and abroad. At the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, she has been directing the entire Ring cycle by Richard Wagner since 2021.
Tickets for the "Alpine Christmas" are available for €45 at the box office of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl. You can reach them Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. by phone at 0043 5373 81000 20 or by email at karten@tiroler-festspiele.at
