The Wiltener Sängerknaben Return to Erl
For the matinee of Ausklang on October 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Festspielhaus in Erl, the Wiltener Sängerknaben from Innsbruck return to the Tiroler Festspiele.

Here they celebrated successes in "Parsifal" (from 2006) and also made the performances of Carmina Burana highlights in the festival history. All the more beautiful that this world-famous choir from Tyrol is now also present at the Ausklang and thus at the first events of the artistic direction of Jonas Kaufmann in Erl. Between folk songs and Schumann compositions, the program of the "set" of the world-famous choir will change, reveals Ausklang curator Andreas Schett.

The Wiltener Sängerknaben are one of the oldest and most renowned boys' choirs in Europe with a history going back to the 13th century. From them emerged the Vienna Boys' Choir in 1498. The Wiltener sang among others at the Milan Scala, at the Salzburg, Bregenz and Tiroler Festspiele and have been performing all Bach oratorios with their own soloists for many years.
